This is a working document. I update it over time, and if anything changes significantly, I might ask you to check out the latest version. If youād prefer this in a different format (like a video or audio), just let me knowāhappy to provide it!
š Hey! I’m Charlie Myszkowski.
Iām aĀ Strategy, Operations, & Information Technology ConsultantĀ based in Edinburgh.
My ADHD and Autism influence how I work, communicate, and process information. These come with lots of benefits to you and this guide (3 min read) is here to set us up forĀ successĀ by making our collaboration easier, more productive, and enjoyable for both of us!
My Work Style (and how it benefits you!)
ā”ļøĀ I Work Fast but Adapt to Your PaceĀ ā When Iām executing tasks independently, I work at my own pace, which is really fast! In collaborative projects, I adapt to a mutually comfortable pace where there is open communication about timing needs.
š§ I Drill Down to the Problem Before Jumping to a SolutionĀ – The best results are made when weāre clear on what weāre solving before jumping into fixes. If youāre not sure what the actual problem is, letās figure it out together!
ā°Ā I Plan My Time IntentionallyĀ ā I follow my calendar closely, allowing the best outcome on project deliverables. If something changes last-minute then there’s no judgement, just let me know as soon as you can.
š¤Ā I Know Great Collaboration Requires Feedback That Goes Both WaysĀ ā I will ask for feedback often and proactively, and I encourage the same from you. Openness to feedback only enriches our working relationship and ensures the best possible delivery for your project.
š”Ā I Get Excited About PossibilitiesĀ ā I tend to see the big picture and love to explore opportunities beyond what we originally discussed. If you prefer to keep things focused, just say soāIāll respect that!
Considerations When Working With Me
š¬Ā Verbal First, Written AfterĀ ā I process information best through conversation, especially when thereās a lot to discuss or something is important. Offline follow-ups are great for agreeing to and referring to key details later.
ā³ Ā I Pause to Think, Please Give Me TimeĀ ā I often stop mid-sentence or take a moment before responding to process my thoughts and give a well-considered answer. This isnāt me losing trackāitās me making sure I give the best response.
Some important points…
š³ Letās Keep Invoice Payments SmoothĀ – My invoices are typically due on receipt to reduce mental load for both of us. I prefer direct communication about any delays or issues with payment.
- If approvals are needed but are stuck, let me knowāIād rather be informed than left wondering.
- If thereās ever an issue or delay, just communicate openly with me. Iād rather know than wonder!
šĀ I Experiment with New Tools & SystemsĀ – A requirement of my work is testing automation, workflows, and digital tools constantly.
This ultimately benefits you because I figure out all the quirks before recommending solutions. However, it also means my own systems might not always be seamless while Iām testing!
And finally…
I thrive when working with people who value clear, structured communication and mutual respect. If we can agree on how we communicate and respect each otherās working styles, weāll collaborate really well.
Thanks for taking the time to read this! š
