Fractional Growth Partner
You know where you want to go. I help you figure out how to get there.
Growth rarely comes down to one thing.
It might look like a marketing problem, until you discover the offer is wrong.
It might look like a technology problem, until you realise the process itself doesn’t make sense.
It might look like you need more customers, when actually you need to get more value from the customers you already have.
That’s where I come in.
A partner in your growth, without another full-time hire.
As your Fractional Growth Partner, I work alongside you to understand where your business is, where you want it to go and what’s actually standing in the way.
Then I help you do something about it.
Rather than being responsible for one department, channel or piece of technology, I work across your business: strategy, marketing, technology, operations, customer experience and the messy spaces between them.
That might mean finding a better way to attract customers. Improving an offer. Fixing an inefficient process. Implementing new technology. Reworking your website. Automating repetitive work. Researching your customers. Reducing unnecessary costs. Building something completely new.
The question isn’t:
“What service can I sell you?”
It’s:
“What needs to happen next?”
You don’t need to know what the problem is.
You might just know that:
- the business has grown, but the way you operate hasn’t caught up;
- you have plenty of ideas but struggle to decide which ones actually matter;
- different parts of the business aren’t working together properly;
- growth has stalled and you’re not entirely sure why;
- too much still depends on you personally;
- you’re constantly reacting instead of building;
- you know something needs to change, but don’t know where to start;
- you need another brain in the room before making an important decision.
That’s enough.
Part of my job is figuring out what the problem actually is before we start throwing solutions at it.
I’m not here to sell you the solution I happen to provide.
If you hire a web designer, you’ll probably get a website.
Hire a marketer and you’ll probably get marketing.
Hire an IT company and you’ll probably get technology.
Sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
Sometimes it isn’t.
I start with the outcome.
I look at what’s happening across the business, challenge assumptions, investigate the underlying problem and work with you to decide what intervention actually makes sense.
If I can help deliver it, I will.
If someone else is better suited, I’ll tell you.
And if the best thing to do is nothing, I’m comfortable telling you that too.
Strategy that survives contact with reality.
I’m not interested in producing recommendations that disappear into a folder.
I can stay involved from figuring out what needs to happen through to actually making it happen.
Depending on what your business needs, that could involve strategy, customer research, positioning, marketing, technology, process improvement, automation, websites, systems, operations, supplier selection, implementation, experimentation, training or change management.
Sometimes I’ll lead.
Sometimes I’ll build.
Sometimes I’ll research.
Sometimes I’ll challenge you.
Sometimes I’ll simply help you think through a decision before you make it.
The role changes because the problem changes.
Fractional means the relationship flexes with your business.
You get an ongoing strategic partner without creating another senior full-time role.
There doesn’t need to be a constant stream of manufactured projects to justify my existence.
One month, we might be rebuilding part of your operation.
The next, you might only need me for an important decision.
Then an opportunity appears and suddenly we’re building something again.
I build context over time, so when something does need attention, you don’t have to explain your entire business to a new consultant before getting useful advice.
This is probably for you if…
You’re competent, driven and building something you care about.
You’ve reached the point where doing more of the same isn’t necessarily going to get you where you want to go.
You value someone who will think independently rather than simply agree with you.
You want strategy connected to execution.
You’re comfortable being challenged when something doesn’t make sense.
And you want someone who can move comfortably between the commercial, technological and human parts of your business rather than treating them as separate problems.
Growth isn’t about doing more. It’s about doing more of what works.
You don’t need another person generating things for your to-do list.
You need clarity about what matters, the capability to act on it and someone who can help keep the bigger picture in view while you do.
That’s my role.
You bring the ambition. I’ll help you work out what needs to happen next.
