Fractional Marketing Consulting
Get your marketing working as hard as your business does.
Your business probably doesn’t need a full-time marketing director.
But you might need someone who can step back, understand what you’re actually trying to achieve, figure out why your marketing isn’t quite working, and turn that into something people actually respond to.
That’s where I come in.
Your marketing person, without hiring a marketing person.
As your Fractional Marketing Consultant, I work alongside you as an ongoing strategic and practical marketing partner.
I’m not here just to make posts, run campaigns or tell you that you need to “build your personal brand”.
I look at the bigger picture: your customers, positioning, brand, offers, website, customer journey, content, channels, data and business goals.
Then I help you figure out what needs to change and actually get it done.
That might mean repositioning an offer nobody quite understands. Researching why customers choose you. Reworking your website. Building a clearer customer journey. Developing your brand. Creating a content strategy. Improving an underperforming campaign. Or simply helping you decide where your limited marketing time and money should actually go.
Sometimes, it simply means having someone you trust to ask:
“Why would someone choose us?”
You don’t need to know what the marketing problem is.
You might just know that:
- you’re good at what you do, but struggle to explain why;
- enquiries are inconsistent or attracting the wrong people;
- your website doesn’t reflect the business you’ve become;
- you’re producing content because you feel like you should;
- your marketing feels disconnected across different channels;
- you’ve tried different tactics without knowing what actually worked;
- your offer makes complete sense to you, but apparently not to everyone else;
- you know you should be doing “more marketing”, but aren’t convinced that more is actually the answer.
That’s enough.
I’ll help you understand what’s happening, what your customers actually care about and where your effort is most likely to make a meaningful difference.
Strategy without a 60-page deck telling you to post more on LinkedIn.
Advice is useful. Implementation is better.
I can work across the entire lifecycle of an improvement, from research and strategy through to creating, implementing and refining what customers actually experience.
Depending on what your organisation needs, that can include customer and user research, positioning, audience segmentation, offer development, brand strategy, messaging, customer journeys, websites and landing pages, content strategy, campaigns, email marketing, lead generation, marketing technology, analytics, automation and experimentation.
The goal isn’t to do more marketing.
It’s to make better decisions about the marketing you do.
Fractional means I’m there when you need me.
You get access to strategic marketing capability without creating another full-time role.
Some months might involve launching something new. Others might involve research, refining an existing campaign, reviewing performance or simply having someone available when an important marketing decision needs to be made.
The relationship flexes around what the business actually needs.
You’re not paying me to manufacture busywork to justify a retainer.
You’re bringing in someone who already understands your business, can step in when needed and continuously asks:
What are we trying to achieve, and is this actually helping us get there?
This is probably for you if…
You’re running a business or organisation that has something genuinely valuable to offer, but your marketing hasn’t quite caught up.
You value evidence and customer insight over marketing folklore.
You want someone who can think strategically without being afraid to actually make things.
You want your marketing decisions connected to the wider business rather than operating as their own little universe.
And you’re prepared to question assumptions about what your customers want, including your own.
Good marketing makes it easier for the right people to choose you.
It shouldn’t require shouting louder than everyone else.
My job is to understand what makes your business valuable, understand the people you want to reach and close the gap between the two.
Not sure what you need? Good. That’s what the first conversation is for.
